What a night! The Silicon Prairie Awards is a great event for all of us in the Silicon Prairie to recognize what we have accomplished and will accomplish going into the future. We want to thank Caleb for all of the hard work he did to get the startup family together in Lincoln. The finalists and winners from last night are all amazing companies with great people making our communities a better place. It’s exciting to think about what we can do when we come together and support each other like what was on display last night.

On a team level, we are so excited to see Kevin Berry win Technologist of the Year. We strongly believe there isn’t another developer in the Silicon Prairie that could build a Hillbilly Clipboard. (FYI we’ve purchased and will soon be directing it to…thank you Caleb for the new brand direction!) But on a serious note, racing is arguably the most technological sport in the world and Kevin produces innovations for us that put us far ahead of the competition. From the business side, we know that if a customer asks for something his platform can do it. And while we appreciate his technical know-how, we also know that Kevin is a great person to work with and know personally. If you haven’t met him, you are missing out on a guy that is kind and cares about who you are as a person. It’s such an honor to have him on our team.

If there is anything we should get from last night, it’s that we are a great startup community with great people. We should all be proud of the people that we go to work with everyday whether they went home with an Analog Award or not. Together, we are taking the Silicon Prairie into the future and there is no place we would rather be. #BangtheDrum
